Christopher Boggs, CPCU, ARM, ALCM, LPCS, AAI, APA, CWCA Related Seminars and Products

Christopher J. Boggs, CPCU, ARM, ALCM, LPCS, AAI, APA, CWCA, CRIS, AINS, president of Boggs Risk & Insurance Consulting (BRIC) with a focus on education, training, risk and claims consulting with insurance agents and insurance carriers, began the practice of insurance in 1990.

During his nearly three-and-a-half-decade insurance career, Boggs has authored over 2,000 insurance and risk management-related articles on a wide range of topics. Additionally, Boggs has written 15 insurance and risk management books including:

• "The Insurance Professional's Practical Guide to Workers' Compensation: From History through Audit," (now in its second edition);
• "Business Income Insurance Demystified: The Simplified Guide to Time Element Coverages," (now in its third edition);

Boggs is a regular speaker at industry events, having taught or spoken nearly 1,000 times. This includes sessions for the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), the National Society of Insurance Premium Auditors (NSIPA), the American Association of Managing General Agents (AAMGA), the Institute of Work Comp Professionals (IWCP), the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) Society and numerous independent insurance agent state association meetings. He has also earned numerous professional accolades including the 2017 Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) Brian Hey Prize and the 2019 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) Charles A. Hachemeister Prize as part of a of professional collaboration with a diverse group of professionals.

His professional background includes work as a risk management consultant, loss control representative, insurance producer, claims manager, journalist and columnist, quality assurance specialist, and insurance coverage product manager.

Boggs earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, and holds nine professional designations.

In the middle of a rising career, Chuck lost everything because he made some bad choices. He has since rebuilt his career and his life back to immense success.

Dawn Halkyard is a licensed property and casualty Producer in Maine. She has worked in the insurance Industry since 2006 and in 2018 started Halkyard Insurance Resources and Educational Development, LLC. She holds many industry related certificates & Designations as she loves discussing and studying
Insurance. She currently works as a part time commercial lines account manager / Producer for a P&C Agency in the State of Maine. She is also a regular presenter for the Maine Insurance Agents Association. She is involved with the Insurance Professionals of Greater Portland and presents at conferences throughout New England.

Rebecca H. McCormack, CIC, CPCU, AAI, CPIW Related Seminars and Products

Becky McCormack is the Vice-President of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina.  Becky began her insurance career in 1984 after graduating from the University of South Carolina with a double major in Insurance and Economic Security and Business Management. Before joining IIABSC in September 1996, Becky’s background included agency and broker experience, as well as eight years as a Commercial Lines Underwriter and Marketing Representative for The Travelers Insurance Company. Becky instructs a variety of insurance continuing education seminars including all of the Certified Insurance Services Representative (CISR) modules, Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) seminars and the Dynamics of Service seminar. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the SC Continuing Education Advisory Board for the SC Department of Insurance.

Becky holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AIA) and Certified Professional Insurance Women (CPIW) designations.

Becky lives in Chapin, SC with her husband Jeff. They have one daughter, Claire, who is an insurance agent in Hilton Head, SC.

Jerry Rhinehart, CIC, CLU, ChFC, RHU Related Seminars and Products

Jerry graduated from the University of West Florida in 1970 (College of Education). After teaching at the high school level for a brief time he moved into the insurance industry. He worked for a property and casualty direct writer for several years. In 1983 he and his wife open an independent insurance agency in Tallahassee, FL. While there he focused primarily on the life, health and financial services area. Additionally he began working in the Continuing Education field as a speaker and writer. The property and casualty division was sold in 1995. Today Jerry continues to operate a life and financial services agency - Rhinehart & Associates - located in Panama City, FL.

Jerry serves on the National Faculty of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.  He attained his CIC in 1986, his CLU in 1987, his ChFC in 1988, and his RHU in 1997. He is a director and Past­ President for the Tallahassee Chapter of CLU and ChFC. He also served as a director and Secretary/Treasurer for Professional Insurance Agents of Florida and is a past Agent of the Year for that organization. He is a former national member of the Board of Governors of the Certified Insurance Counselors (Austin, TX).

Since 1986 Jerry has conducted more than 1,200 programs to insurance, CPA, attorney and Human Resource groups on topics that range from Estate Planning, Long Term Care, Life Insurance, Annuities, Business Perpetuation and Health Insurance. He frequently writes articles for various insurance trade magazines on the above topics. Additionally, serves as an expert witness in legal proceedings regarding life and health insurance matters.
